Nita "Sue" Shouse Palicia, 82, of Erie, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026. She was born in Jackson, KY on January 7, 1944 a daughter of the late Thomas and Cinda Hilton Shouse.
Sue graduated from Academy High School and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She worked as a legal secretary up until she retired. Sue was an avid bowler and was a member and secretary of the "600 Club" for many years. Sue loved to travel and spending time with family, especially her great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Palicia; her great grandson, Henry Moody; two brothers, Amos Shouse(Millie) and Price Shouse (Angie); Three sisters, Christine Andrew (Jack), Wanda Morgan (Harold) and Tillie Hatton (Dick); and her son in law, Christopher Cramer.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Palicia; her daughter, Brenda Cramer; two grandchildren, Jessica Marie Moody (Greg) and Dylan Ryan Loper (Nicole); six great granddaughters, Ashtyn, Cameryn, Shayla, Gwendolynn, Brooklynn, and Amiya; one brother, Granville Thomas Shouse (Sandra); and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Hope Floats- The Henry Moody Memorial Fund.
