John Nicholas Gordon December 21, 1942 - June 22, 2025
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Entrepreneur, and Friend. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Nicholas Gordon, who left us peacefully on June 22nd, 2025, at the age of 82. A man of ambition, warmth, and wisdom, John lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and determination.
Born on December 21st, 1942, John grew up in Erie, PA, with an entrepreneurial spirit that shaped his journey through life. As a dedicated and driven entrepreneur, he built businesses with vision and integrity, always striving to uplift those around him. He led by example - passionately, generously, and fearlessly. John is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Darlene Gordon; his children, Tony, Dawn, and Michelle; his cherished grandchildren, Chandler, Blake, Madison, Richard, Dominic, John, Josh, and Jamey; and his great-grandchild, Richie. He was a pillar of strength and a constant source of encouragement and love for his entire family. Outside of his work, he was most at peace on the golf course. He found joy not only in the game itself but in the friendships, quiet moments, and stories that came with it. It was his way of recharging, reflecting and celebrating life.
John lived by the words: "It is not about how much you make, it's about how much you spend," a guiding principle that shaped the way he approached business, relationships, and each new day. To know John was to witness what it means to live fully - with purpose, heart, and humility. His wit, generosity, and unwavering spirit touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he enriched.
A celebration of John's life will be held on July 5th, 2025, at a small private ceremony in Tucson, AZ.
