Albert H. Rancuch, Jr., age 84, of Erie, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. He was born in Erie on May 13, 1942, at Hamot Hospital in Erie, to the late Albert H. Rancuch, Sr. and Idabel (Tenny) Rancuch.
Albert graduated from Academy High School in 1960. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler. In 1964, Albert enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served for 20 years, retiring in 1984 as a Master Sargent. Albert served in various stations, both in the United States and overseas, including Viet Nam during the Tet Offensive.
Albert was a proud member of the American Legion Post #773 on West 12th St. in Erie. Nearly every day, he could be seen at the Legion while drinking his Pepsi and enjoying the time with his fellow Vets.
Albert is survived by his sister, Lorna (Rancuch) Fromknecht and her husband, Robert, of Port St Lucie, FL. He is also survived by a nephew, Brian Fromknecht (Aida) of Dallas, TX.
Albert will be honored with burial on November 4, 2026 at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with military honors and flag presentation to his sister, Lorna.
Funeral arrangements for Albert were entrusted to the care of the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP, 1595 West 38th Street, Erie.
