Wendy Richardson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy (Richardson) Hoffman, on Monday, October 22, 2024, at the age of 83. Wendy was born on October 10, 1941, in Erie, PA to Alonzo "Blair" Richardson and Lucile Bertha Schrecengost.

Wendy was married to her husband, John Henry Hoffman, for almost 59 years (two months shy). She was known for being sweet and mild mannered, and she was kind and caring to all. Along with her husband, she was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh. Wendy graduated from high school in Erie, PA, then attended Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA. She then worked for Alco doing secretarial work. It was at this time in her life when she met her soon to be husband, eventually had two daughters and became a primarily full time stay at home mother raising them in Dormont, PA.

Wendy loved photography and was a member for decades of Pittsburgh Photography Club - The Academy of Science and Art of Pittsburgh (meetings in Mt. Lebanon, PA). She always had a camera with her, had an ability to capture her subject's essense and freely shared her photos. She also love animals and raised many pets that lived long lives having several cats and dogs that lived until their late teens/early twenties.

SHe is preceded in joining the Lord by her parents and is survived by her husband and two daughters, Kim and Robin Hoffman.

A service for Wendy will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Residence at Bethel Park, 5851 Keystone Drive, Bethel Park, PA 15102. Arrangements handled by David J.
