Thomas Forsyth, age 66, of Erie, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at his residence.
He was born in Erie on July 25, 1942, a son of the late Edgar and Ruth Honecker Forsyth. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Forsyth and Aaron Forsyth, both of Erie; his former wife Audrey Hill Karle, and his granddaughter Ava Forsyth.
He graduated from Academy High School, and Penn State Behrend in 1964. Tom was a buyer for Ohrbachs for 7 years, was a buyer and manager for Carlisles for nearly 20 years, and worked in retail sales as a manager for Radio Shack. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where he sang in the choir and was a lector, a senior warden, and a member of the vestry. Tom loved Disneyworld and made annual trips.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W. 10th St., Erie, on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 4701 Old French Road, Erie on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
