Thomas L. Zimmer, age 79, of Erie passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at his residence. Born in Erie on December 31, 1941 he was a son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Tuttle) Zimmer.

Tom graduated from Academy High School and went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He worked as a machinist and inspector at LORD Corporation for 38 years until his retirement.

Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Zimmer and her daughters Maygen and Makenzie; a son, Kimmy Zimmer; four brothers, Robert Zimmer (Jean), Alan Zimmer (Judy), Brian Zimmer, and William Zimmer (Norma King); a sister, Amy Mylett (Chet); several nieces and nephews; and all of his friends on lower Parade Street.

Memorials may be made to the Erie VA Medical Center Activities Fund, 135 East 38th St., Erie, PA 16504. Private funeral arrangements were handled by Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 E. 38th Street.
