Thomas L. Yochim, 40, 3402 Maple, died Tuesday at Saint Vincent Health Center after a long illness.

He was born in Erie on July 26, son of the late Reinhard and Lu Brennan Yochim. He was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and was a 1960 graduate of Academy High School. He worked for Kraus Electric Co. as a salesman the past two years. Earlier, he worked for Erie Industrial Electrical Co. for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife Joan Loesch Yochim; a son, Gregory Yochim; two daughters, Michelle and Christine Yochim; a sister, Nancy Yochim of Erie; a grandmother and several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at Brugger Home for Funerals, W. 38th and Greengarden Blvd., Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St. George Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
