Richard W. Soder, 61, of Erie, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at his home due to multiple myeloma.
He was born April 24, 1941, in Erie, son of the late William Soder and Martha Tubbs.
He was employed as a lithograph pressman at Owens Brockway and most recently at U.S. Can in New Castle. He was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns and was a member of the Browns Backers.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Marie Soder. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Constance Yusz Soder; two daughters, Michelle Schultz and Patty Lawson and her husband, Luke, all of Erie; two sons, John Soder and his wife, Kim, and Michael Soder, all of Erie; a sister, Ruth Michalak of Erie; a stepbrother, William Soder of Erie; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 E. 38th St. A service will be held there Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
