Patricia Weaver June 14, 1942 - January 10, 2023 State College, Pennsylvania - Patricia C. Weaver, formerly of Erie; Petersburg, and State College, PA, died on January 10, 2023 at the age of 80 years. She was born June 14, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Henry M. and Rosalie Proscino Narducci. Her family moved to Erie shortly after her birth. Patricia attended Jefferson Grade School and graduated with the Academy High School Class of 1960. Following graduation, she earned a bachelor's degree in 1963 and a master's degree in 1965, both in English from the Pennsylvania State University. After marrying Robert G. Weaver, Professor of English, she started a family and had two children. Later, she returned to Penn State to learn accounting and business, eventually acquiring a master's degree in business administration in 1991. She worked as a staff and self-employed Certified Public Accountant for several years.

In 1986 Pat began a 30-year journey on the faculty of Juniata College. She was a dedicated and popular teacher, loved by her students and often referred to as one of the most talented educators in her field. Weaver was promoted to associate professor in 1993 and to full professor in 1999. While at Juniata she served as the Charles A. Dana Professor of Accounting, Business & Economics and Chair of the Department. During her tenure she was honored with the Beachley Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2000 and the Beachley award for Academic Service in 2008.

Pat was known for her authentic style and hilarious sense of humor. She loved sharing time and activities with her friends and family, involving herself with her children's lives; and helping to raise her two cherished grandchildren, traveling, and eating out. She also loved horses, horse shows, rock and roll, movies, and video games. She was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and Penn State football. Pat enjoyed traveling to multiple cities such as New York with her family and grandchildren to take in as many Broadway musicals as possible, including at least 15 viewings of Phantom of the Opera. Pat was an extremely capable woman, teaching herself skills such as electronics, plumbing, carpentry, TV repair, computer repair, and even raising livestock. She was also a committed caregiver to her elderly parents and husband while working full time as an award-winning college professor. Pat will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert G. Weaver and stepdaughter, Karen Mitchell. Pat is survived by a son Adam S. Weaver (Veronika), of Huntingdon, PA; daughter Amy E. Mills (Nick) of Northville, MI; and granddaughters Abby and Lydia Mills of Northville, MI. She is further survived by her brother Henry Narducci (Monica Kralik) of Dayton, OH, and many cousins, as well as step-granddaughters Sarah Bough and Erin Mitchell, and step-great grandchildren Nicklas Bough and Kiera Bough. In accordance with Pat's wishes, her body was cremated and her ashes will be interred with her parents at the Calvary Cemetery in Erie, PA. A family gathering will be held at a later time in Erie to celebrate her life.

As Pat so loved Juniata College and her years of service there, an endowed scholarship is being set up in her name for the benefit of future students.
