Nancy Lee Tuk, 75, of Waverly, Ga., passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.
Born September 15, 1942, in Erie, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Emerson L. and Pearl L. Wantz.
She was also preceded in death by her two siblings, Carol and Robert.
Nancy graduated from Academy High School in Erie, Pa. in 1960 and attended Edinboro State College in Edinboro, Pa., where she also became heavily involved with her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi. She graduated in 1964 with a Master's Equivalent in Education, and began teaching at Klein Elementary School in Harborcreek, Pa., where she was an educator for 35 years. She married Vincent Edward Tuk on May 1, 1965, at Saint Stephens Church in Erie, Pa. She retired from education in 2003.
Throughout her life, Nancy was involved in many activities. She attended Luther Memorial Church in Erie, Pa. until she moved to Waverly, Ga., where she attended King of Peace Episcopal Church in Kingsland, Ga. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Vincent, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to travel and read books, art, and amassed an amazingly massive collection of stuffed teddy bears. She was very involved with her sorority over the years and donated to various charities as well.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent Tuk of Waverly, Ga.; three children, Barbara Ann Scott (Robert) of Woodbine, Ga., Karen Tuszynski (Kenneth) of Corry, Pa. and Jennifer Correll (Nathan) of Waverly, Ga.; sister, Cathy Jean Preston of Erie, Pa.; grandchildren, Kyle Scott, Jessica and Ryan Garza, Jeffrey Scott, Kimi Tuszynski, Nick Tuszynski, Kallie Tuszynski, Hannah Tuszynski, Courtney Correll, Caitlyn Correll, Zachary Correll, and Vincent Correll; great-grandchildren, Ella Vega-Tuszynski, Lincoln Kyle Bowen, and Evelyn Grace Garza; dear friend, Charlene Chimera; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at King of Peace Episcopal Church in Kingsland, Ga. on the 19th of December, 2017 at 4:00 p.m., with a viewing being held at Allison Memorial Funeral Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the same day. A private family burial will be held Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of choice in Nancy's name.
