Nancy E. Ostromecki, age 68, of Erie, returned to her Lord on Wednesday May 11, 2011 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center.
She was born in Erie, Pa. on January 17, 1943, a daughter of the late Howard J. and Gertrude T. Bleil Gausman. Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Academy High School and held positions with the Erie Insurance Exchange, AMSCO and General Electric. She was subsequently employed as a production scheduler at the Miller Brewing Co. in Fulton N.Y. and as a customer sales agent for CW Paper in Wausau, Wis.
She was a devoted wife and mother. The focus of her life was her husband, and her children for whom she was actively involved in all levels of their education and activities, serving as PTO president and Scout leader for many years in the Wausau School District.
In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alice Tobin and her brother, Joseph A (Agnes) Gausman. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ronald R. Ostromecki, two daughters, Robyn N. (Scott) Ostromecki and Kayti (Ryan) Stadler. She is further survived by her devoted granddaughter, Lexi A. Ostromecki, her sister Kathy G. Gausman, in-laws Richard (Judy) Ostromecki, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2701 East Ave. Erie, PA 16504 with private inurnment in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
