Marilyn J. Temple, 83, of Erie, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her family and dearest friends. She was born in Erie on August 2, l941, a daughter of the late Ellwood and Ann (Stora) Smith. Her surviving siblings are Geraldine Gomacki, of Erie, and David Smith, of North Carolina. Marilyn was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren and late-night phone calls with sister Geraldine and her good friend Debbie Miaczynski. She also loved her puppy, Molly. On October 6, 1962, in Virginia, she married the love of her life, William J. Temple, Sr., who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by siblings, Nancy Herman, Thomas Smith, and an infant brother. Marilyn is survived by her four loving children, Ann Temple, of Hermitage, Tenn., William J. "Bill" Temple, Jr., wife Sara, Mark Temple, wife Laurie, and Debbie Primis, husband Benjamin, all of Erie; seven grandchildren, Sean Temple, wife Susie, Jessica Temple, Gabrielle Powers, husband Justin, Chris Udovich, Kendra Udovich, David Murosky, and Michelle Davis, husband Bob; six great grandchildren, Vivi Temple, Artie Temple, Lukan Little, Calvin Bliss, Aubrey Murosky, and Jeremiah Murosky.

Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd., on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., and may attend a funeral Mass at St. George Church, 5145 Peach Street, on Thursday at 10 a.m.
