Marie Rose Hoffman Lasky, age 77, of Erie, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home, on March 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, after a prolonged illness. She was born in Erie, on March 22, 1941, to the late John and Helen Diemert Hoffman.
Marie attended Academy High School and graduated in 1960. She loved cooking for her family, sewing, gardening, and was a gifted artist. Marie proudly hosted holiday gatherings with elaborate meals and enjoyed spending time with her four children and ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a devoted follower of Christ and member of Our Lady of Peace Church.
Besides her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a sister, Helen A. Buzard and a brother, John Hoffman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Frank Lasky, Sr., a daughter, Prudence Shaw (Mark) of Erie, three sons, Mark Lasky (Paula) of Springfield, Frank Lasky, Jr. (Que) of Fairview, and Damon Lasky (Melissa) of Erie, ten grandchildren, Rosemarie, Grace, Ashley (Jason), Chelsea, Jessica, Frankie, Devon, Ryan, Toby, and Kylie, one great-grandchild, Leo, and a sister, Pauline S. Duffin (Donald).
Calling hours will be observed on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the residence of Frank Lasky, Jr. (Que) located at 8040 Marietta Dr., Fairview, PA 16415, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., immediately followed by a service officiated by Father Bill Sutherland at 5:00 p.m. The burial will be private.
