Madge Anita Osborne Vice, age 71, resident of Auburndale, FL, passed away after a courageous battle of breast cancer with family by her side at home on Sept. 24, 2013.
She was born the youngest of three children July 22nd, 1942 in Erie, PA, to Marion (Morris) & Kenneth G. Osborne.
She graduated from Academy High School in 1960. She then graduated from Penn State in 1964 with her BS degree in Home Economics/Family Studies/Home Art. Midge and her husband Lamar have been self employed most of their 48 years of marriage. Midge was involved in the women's prison ministry reaching out to hurting women. She also authored two books, "Let the Older Women Teach" and "Why Me, Why Now?"
Midge is survived by her husband, Lamar Vice, their three married sons, Grant (Kimberley) Vice of Lakeland, FL, Matthew (Trudy) Vice of Lake Alfred, FL, Spencer (Dionna) Vice of Auburndale, FL; and 8 wonderful grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Dadra Marra Vice; brother, Kenneth Grant Osborne.
Funeral services will take place Friday at 11 AM at the Legacy Church in Auburndale with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale serving the family.
