Judy Henry

Judith A. "Judy" (Henry) Klopfer, age 82, of Millcreek passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, surrounded by love and holding her daughter's hand. Born August 10, 1941, in Erie she was the first of six children born to the late John and Mildred "Millie" (Welsh) Henry.

Judy graduated from Holy Rosary Grade School and Academy High School, class of 1960. She worked at Security Peoples Trust Co. and its successors, Integra and National City Bank for over 20 years. She retired from the Marsh Spaeder Law Firm in 2006.

After the loss of her oldest daughter, she took a part time job as a lunch lady at St. Luke School. It was just the distraction she needed and allowed her to spend more time with her grandsons and be involved in their daily lives. She was always there to cheer them on in their athletics and academics, and she was their number one fan!

Judy could be found in the kitchen whipping up something delicious, hosting family gatherings, enjoying game nights with an occasional shot or a Mudslide, or out in the garden, planting beautiful flowers. She had a knack for always knowing what to do, what to say, what not to say, and when to listen. Her wit and smile lifted many a weary soul, and you knew your life was better just by being touched and blessed with her comfort and wisdom. She was a friend to many, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and neighbor. In her last years, after a sudden fall and the limitation of her mobility, she remained steadfast and enjoyed her family and special friendships, making the best of a difficult situation.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Laura Klopfer Wright; her brother, William Henry; two sisters, Maureen Aitken and Kathleen Bilski; and a nephew Tommy Aitken.

Survivors include a daughter, Alicia Bryant, husband Ron; a son-in-law, Clive "Bo" Wright III; three grandsons who were the absolute apples of her eye, R.J. and Camden Bryant and Clive Wright IV; two brothers, Daniel Henry, wife Rebecca, and John Michael "Mike" Henry, wife Katrina; a sister-in-law, Kathy Henry; and many nieces and nephews.
