Joseph Dufala

Joseph J. "Joe" Dufala, Jr., age 75, of Millcreek Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 3, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Erie, on February 23, 1942, son of the late Joseph J. and Loretta Loupe Dufala.

Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy, serving as a cryptographer. He was a carpenter by trade with the Laborers & Carpenters Union. He previously was employed by General Electric. Joe was an active member of the American Legion, VFW, Star Club and Siebenbuerger Club. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Joe enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiles, boating, and especially enjoyed hunting and time spent with family and friends at his camp. He was known to have a green thumb.

Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Dufala in 2015; two brothers, Michael and David Dufala; and his fiancée, Anna Wisniewski. Survivors include his daughter, Gina Mundaniohl (Rob); two grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew Mundaniohl; two brothers, Larry and Stephen Dufala; and his friend and former wife, Peggy Dufala.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m., and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m., conducted by Reverend James McCormick. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571.
