Gerald C. "Jerry" Rohan, age 79, of Summit Township, passed away unexpectedly, at his residence on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Born in Erie, September 30, 1941, he was a son of the late B. Charles "Buzzy" and Betty (Betz) Rohan.
Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jerry was co-owner of Kearsarge Auto Parts until his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing. He had an accordion and was a fan of polka music. He also liked going to the casino.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Rohan.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Marilyn H. (VanDamia) Rohan, of Summit; four daughters, Brenda Mitchell, husband Scott, and Darlene Celline, of Erie, Marlene Kuzma, husband Jeff, of Waterford, and Melissa Bianchi, husband Anthony, of Buffalo, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, and Joshua Celline, Jake, Kaylee, and Kelsey Kuzma, Nathan, and Lucas Mitchell, and Anthony, and Matthew Bianchi; siblings, Audrey Zimmerly, husband Chris, of Erie, Richard Rohan, wife Beverly, of Birmingham, Ala., John Rohan, of Erie, and sister-in-law, Christine Rohan, of Chicago. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends are invited to call at St. George Church, 5145 Peach St., on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment, with military honors, will follow in Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Brugger Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1595 W. 38th St., is assisting with arrangements.
