Evelyn Taccone

Evelyn L. Taccone Franz Much Loved Wife, Mother, and Friend Surrounded by family, Evelyn found peace May 14th, 2008 at Saint Vincent Health Center, following an extended illness.

She was born in Erie, December 23, 1942 to the late John and Mary Martina Taccone. She worked as a cook at various establishments, including McCrory’s, the Super Duper Oak Room & Muggs restaurants, and retired from the Zukor Club. She was an Academy High School graduate in 1960. She was a member of T.O.P.S. PA Chapter 56 for 38 years and also of the Red Hat Society, Little Biddy Buddies Chapter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Gerald Welch, Frank Graziano, and Richard Franz. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James P. Franz Jr.; a son, James P. Franz III, and his wife, Michele; a daughter, Yvonne Hendrickson, and her husband, Scott; two granddaughters, Tami Marie Franz and Jenna Grace Hendrickson; a great-grandson, Emory James Kline; two sisters, Isabel Jean Graziano and Mary Grace Welch; and a brother, John Taccone, all of Erie. A Large extended Family and many cherished friends also survive.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals LLP, 1595 W. 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd. Services will be held there on Monday at 9:20 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. The Blessed Sacrament Ushers will pray the rosary at the funeral home on Sunday at 6:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
