Diane M. (Marchini) Felice peacefully passed away on March 13, 2025 after a short stay in an assisted living home in Greenville, Michigan. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on May 12, 1942, the 2nd child of five to Emelio and Elizabeth (Jageman) Marchini. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic School, Wilson, and graduated from Academy High School in 1960. Her first job was a secretary until she stayed home to raise her two children. She purchased her first car, a 57 Chevy that she talked fondly of. She was the first person in her family to learn to drive a car, and she taught her mother and siblings. Diane worked as a bank teller for 20 dedicated years, always the go-to when a coworker didn't balance the till.
Diane was an avid crossword puzzler, she also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, cross stitching and crocheting, but her favorite pastime was playing slot machines. She made it to Las Vegas only once, but when the casino came to Erie, she made frequent visits for entertainment. She rescued several dogs and cats over the years but when her little orphan Annie showed up at her back door, they had a special bond. Diane could strike up a conversation with anyone and was a good listener until dementia sadly took over.
She is survived by her two children, Lisa (Michael) Brown of Greenville, MI, and Jeffrey (Rowena) Felice of Lahaina, HI; grandchildren, Meagan Brown, Kevin (Sarah) Brown, Zach (Micah) Brown, Madison (Stephen) Finocchiaro, Spencer, Anthony, and Jettson Felice; two great grandsons, Leonardo and Anthony Finocchiaro; and several nieces and nephews; an aunt, Nancy Marchini and several cousins. Diane lived the longest of her immediate family and is now reunited with her parents and siblings, Emelie DeSanti, William Marchini, Barbara (Richard) Abbey, and Rebecca Engel.
A memorial gathering will be held in Erie, PA, with the date and time to be determined. Memories and messages of condolence may be shared at www.hurstfh.com.
