Charlene E. Teel Valerio, 57, 3507 Washington Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999. at Saint Vincent Health Center after a brief illness.

She was born in ErieNov. 7,1942, daughter of Gertrude "Trudy" Brown of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and the late William Teel.

She worked as a clerk for the Erie County Courthouse's domestic relations department. She enjoyed computers, gardening and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Valerio; her stepmother, Phyllis Teel of Erie; her stepfather, Philip Messenkopf of Erie; a daughter, Michelle Valerio of Erie; three sons, Anthony Valerio, William Valerio and his wife, Sharon, and Michael Valerio and his wife, Jennifer, all of Erie; three brothers, Douglas and David Teel of Erie and Charles Messenkopf of Florida; four sisters, Terry Welsh; Beverly Joslin and Sally Messenkopf, all of Erie, and Susan Messenkopf of Boston; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at John R. Orlando Funeral Horne Inc., 2122 Raspberry St., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Saturday at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. David Janz. Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
