William F. Ziegler, 50, 8660 Old French Road, died Friday, Oct. 2. 1992, at the Milcreek Community Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 11, 1942, in Erie, the son of the late John W. and Helene VanTassel Ziegler.
Mr. Ziegler was a U.S. Army vetern of the Vietnam War, serving as a military policeman.
He was employed as the alley mechanic for the Eastland Bowling Lanes for 30 years, during which time he also worked for Keystone Bowling Supplies refinishing bowling lanes.
He was a member of the American Foreign Legion Post 495, VFW Ronald Martin Post 3390 and the East Erie Turners. He was a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club.
Mr. Ziegler was an avid bowler, belonging to the 700 Club, and he also once bowled a perfect game.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Kanyor Ziegler, two sisters, Mrs Gerald (Judith) Himes and Mrs. Robert (Janet) O'Lone, both of Erie, a brother, Gordon Kidder of Canesus, N.Y., and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, W. 25th and Sassafras streets on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
