Beverly J. Chapin, age 73, of Erie, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015, at UPMC Hamot, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Erie, on April 20, 1942, a daughter of the late Harold E. and Myra J. Orr Chapin.
Beverly was a graduate of Academy High School, and had been employed at Erie Beer and McCormick Coffee companies.
Bev was a kindhearted soul with a generous spirit. Her outgoing personality and infectious sense of humor earned her the friendship and affection of many.
She was outrageously adventurous. She was an avid bowler and golfer, and enjoyed trips to the casino with her friends. Her dogs were her beloved companions.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Buffy.
Beverly is survived by a brother, William H. Chapin, of Erie; a sister, Karen E. Chapin, of Pittsburgh; four nieces, Susan Gilson Talarico, of Erie, Pamela Davidoff, of Erie, Keri Wentzel, and Kelly Perkovich, both of Pittsburgh; and a nephew, Sean Lockerman, of Columbus, Ohio. Bev is further survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, at Cherry Street, on Saturday, July 25th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service there at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
