Anne Steehler

Anne Catherine (Steehler) Age 65, of Mansfield, PA, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, at the Green Home, Wellsboro, PA, surrounded by her loving family. Anne was the wife of Brian H. Stahler.

She was born on December 5, 1941 in Erie, PA, daughter of Arthur and Josephine (Hewitt) Steehler.

Anne was an elementary school teacher at Warren L. Miller Elementary School, having taught the 3rd and 4th grade for 37 years, retiring in 2001. Anne was a very active member of the Hillcrest Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed working the Dorcas on Tuesdays, assisted with the luncheons for the children on Mondays, and the Prison Ministry for Women at the Tioga County Correctional Facility on Saturdays. She enjoyed rubber stamping, making her own all occasion cards, scrap booking, crafts, flower and vegetable gardening, traveling, was an avid bird watcher, excellent cook and housekeeper. She was a member of the Mansfield Garden Club. Anne also enjoyed contributing to charitable organizations.

Anne is survived by her husband, Brian; two sons, Rick Stahler of Carlisle, PA, and Terry Stahler of Harrisburg, PA; one granddaughter, Kate Stahler. She was preceded in death by a brother, Craig Steehler.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA, and Wednesday, January 10, 2007, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Hillcrest Seventh Day Adventist Church, Rte. 6, Wellsboro, PA. A time of sharing and funeral service will follow the viewing at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church with Pastor Mike Bernard officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA.
